The Ryan M. Donnoe Memorial Scholarship was created to honor a great Sigma Pi brother, Ryan M. Donnoe '97, who passed away on September 8, 2005. Through his work, he has shown others what it means to be a Sigma Pi, and was dedicated to the beliefs and values of Sigma Pi.
Donnoe attended Vincennes University and graduated Manga Cum Laude in May 1998 with an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. While at VU, Donnoe became an active member of the Alpha Chapter of Sigma Pi Fraternity. During his time in the Chapter, Donnoe sat on the Executive Council as the Chapter's Treasurer.
Other achievements included his membership in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, as well as being the the recipient of the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award from the Vincennes University Greek Council in 1998.
After graduating from Vincennes, Brother Donnoe continued his education at Indiana University, where he majored in Psychology and graduated in December 2000 with honors.
Ryan Donnoe's commitment to academic excellence was inspiring and his loyalty to Sigma Pi made Brother Donnoe a role model in the Fraternity. Donnoe loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them on family trips, vacations and during the holidays. He was an outstanding musician, lyricist, and vocalist and was apart of two bands during his time in Bloomington.
Brother Donnoe has a tremendous pride in his affiliation with Sigma Pi and a bond with his Fraternity brothers that lasted until his passing.

Criteria
Self-Managed Process
This is a self-managed process. This means that the applicant is required to collect all application materials (cover letter, academic transcripts and photo), and submit them all in one packet to the Scholarship Selection Committee.
Application Deadline
All applications must be submitted no later than February 1st. NO applications will be accepted after this date.

Criteria
- Recipient will not be restricted to a sspecific major.
- Recipient shall be a ful-time student at Vincennes University, Vincennes Campus, with a minimum 12-credit hour load per semester at Vincennes University. The scholarship cannot be used for Summer session expenses.
- Recipient must be an 'initiated' member of Sigma Pi Fraternity,International, Alpha Chapter and in good standing with Vincennes University and Sigma Pi Fraternity, International.
- Financial need shall not be a primary consideration in awarding the scholarship.
- Recipient may be either traditional or non-traditional student.
- Scholarship awardee shall maintain a 2.8 GPA at Vincennes University.
- In awarding the scholarship, preference will not be dependent on scholarship applications from any specific high school attended or county of residence.
